Make It Monday: 4th of July – Scrapbook Layout

Welcome back to another Make It Monday, where we kick off the week with creativity and heart 💖

I’m making a little change with this weekly series — moving forward, Make It Monday is all about using what you’ve got!

Each Monday, I’ll be pulling from my own stash — think papers, scraps, embellishments, and those long-forgotten faves — to show you how to create beautiful projects using what you already have in your studio. Because let’s be real… we allhave hidden treasures tucked away in bins, baskets, and drawers! 💁‍♀️

As many of you know, I was a Close to My Heart (CTMH) consultant for over 10 years. That company shaped so much of my creative journey, and I’ve got a mountain of incredible supplies to show for it! Sadly, CTMH closed its doors last year following the CEO’s declining health — but their legacy lives on in the hearts (and craft rooms) of so many of us. So each week, I’m honoring that legacy by bringing those supplies back to life in fresh, fun ways.

This week’s layout is a perfect example — I dove into some older patterned papers, added die cuts done with the Silhouette, and made the most of what I had on hand to tell the story of our 4th of July at Sargea Lake. And let me tell you, it felt GOOD to create without shopping for something new!

I am still thinking of what to write for the journaling  since the photos say it all.

Do you scrapbook summer holidays too?
