Behind the Pause

Life doesn’t always follow the schedule we plan — sometimes, it hits pause so we can catch our breath.

Here’s a little peek behind my creative pause, what I’ve been up to during the quiet, and how I’m finding my way back to creating again. 💖

If you’ve been around for a while, you’ve probably noticed that things have been a little quieter than usual lately — and there’s a reason for the fact that I haven't really been around for the last 5 months. However, I AM BACK!!! 🙂

These past few months have been full of life stuff — studio renovations, family events, and a few of those “one thing leads to another” kinds of projects. 😅 What started as a quick refresh somehow turned into a full-on transformation, and I had to hit pause on a few creative things while I tackled it all.

And honestly? I needed that pause — emotionally and mentally.

Part of that pause came from loss, too. Earlier this summer, we said goodbye to our sweet Dozer. 💔 Losing him left such a quiet space in our home — and in my heart. It’s amazing how deeply our furry companions fill our lives with love and comfort, and how hard it is when that presence is suddenly gone. I think part of me needed that stillness — to grieve, to heal, and to slowly find joy in the little things again.

Sometimes life has a funny way of forcing us to slow down so we can find our footing again. For me, with the back-to-back minor flooding in May, that meant stepping back, refocusing, and letting my creativity rest while I worked on all the behind-the-scenes stuff (like paint, drywall dust, and moving way too many boxes of craft supplies 😆).

Now, I can finally feel things starting to click again. The studio is this close to being finished — just a few minor things that aren’t on any time crunch — and I’m starting to get back into my rhythm. I’m planning projects, prepping for LIVES, and dreaming up ideas I can’t wait to share with you. 💖

The long pause wasn’t easy, but it reminded me that slowing down doesn’t mean you’ve stopped — it just means you’re resetting.

So if you’ve been in your own “pause” lately — whether that’s in crafting, creating, or just in life — please know that it’s okay. Sometimes we need that space to breathe, rest, and come back stronger than before.

And I’m so glad you’ve stuck with me through mine. 🥰

I can’t wait to start sharing again — the gnomes, the classes, the chaos, and all. 😉

If you’ve ever had to step back and take your own creative pause, I hope this reminds you that it’s okay — you’re not falling behind, you’re just refilling your cup. 💕

Here’s to new beginnings, fresh inspiration, and the beautiful mess of finding your rhythm again. ✨
